First let me start by saying Happy Thanksgiving break everyone!
Second, I wish I took the time to write on here more and I am trying to chronicle my journey a little better.
Now let's get down to business, in honor of Thanksgiving today I had my students do an acrostic poem using the words GIVE THANKS.
As my students were making there's I sat back and realized I had an extra one so I decided to make one of my own.

First off, I am thankful for my Girls. I would not have been able to make it through without their constant love and friendship. They are my favorite mess. I love doing life with them. I am thankful for what each of us contributes to our group and how time/distance hasn't been able to separate us! Love you guys!
I am incredibly thankful for inviting people like the lovely Lauren for inviting me into her newly purchased home! I can't wait to begin this new adventure with you as house mates! Thanks for being willing to put up with me for a while.
Being a big sister is my greatest joy in life! She is my motivation to get up and go to the gym and to keep going everyday! I love you Chickadee!! Keep on being you sister! You be my wings, I'll be your anchor.
Every one of my students. Yes, each and everyone of them. Even when I don't feel good. Even when they don't feel good. Even on the days that it's hard. I am in their lives for a reason and I love every second of it. I am so thankful for all 25 of those little people in my classroom.
Teaching. It is my greatest privileged to be able to teach those babies each and every day. It has not been an easy journey and the fact that I am literally living my dream every day is still so surreal!! I am thankful for the educators I had on my 13 years of public school and my 4 years of higher education. Without them I wouldn't be here.
My parents. I must say that they got pretty lucky that they got me first!
But I am thankful that they never let me give up on my dreams even when that was all I wanted to do. Thank you for not letting me give up the night I called you crying on my bedroom floor. I was so close to just saying forget it when I called y'all. Thank you for supporting my choices even when you may not like them. Thank you for letting me make my own mistakes. Thank you for being supportive as I make the transition out of you house, I promise I'm not going to be gone forever. Love you much!
Ady Grace and Garrett. Thank you for teaching how to love someone I had no previous connection with! I am a better teacher because of the days I spent with the 2 of you! Thank you Brittany and Brandon for trusting me with your babies and letting me love them like my own!
Not giving up. I am so thankful I didn't give up on my dreams. There were so many moments when all I wanted to do was quit because it was "too hard" or the expectations were "too high". But I didn't give up. I kept going and haven't stopped since. There are still mountains for me tackle in my life and luckily I'm too stubborn to give on them.
I'm coming for you Foundations of Reading ;)
My God. I am so thankful for a kind and loving God who has forgiven me of all the awful things I have done in my life. I am thankful for the hand he has dealt me and the circumstances he has placed me under. I wouldn't have it any other way.
MY struggles. Without them I would not have found my strength. If I let myself get knocked down every time I was hurt by another person or things didn't turn out the way I wanted them to it would pathetic. So yes I am thankful for the things I have struggled with in my life because I would never have known how strong I was with out them.
XOXO
Peace and Love
